Putting the law to work for living systems.

I'm an Australian environmental law graduate with a background in critical-care nursing, military service, and a working trade in craft. My focus: rights of nature, ecological restoration markets, and how communities belong to the places they live — argued in practice, examined in writing at WildLight.

Law Care Craft Writing Place

What I bring

Different trainings, one orientation: understanding what living systems need — then defending them in law, mending them in practice, and making the tools the work requires.

Environmental law

Juris Doctor · Macquarie

Graduated 2025 with a major in environmental law and highest achievement in Environmental Law and Sustainable Development. Now completing Practical Legal Training toward admission, with a working focus on rights of nature, carbon and biodiversity markets, and Australia's Nature Repair framework.

Care

One discipline · Two scales

Five years leading emergency teams at Cairns Hospital taught what care actually requires: attention, patience, and staying with what's damaged until it mends. The same discipline now extends to a different patient — degraded land and the communities that depend on it — carried alongside six peer-reviewed publications in global health.

Craft

Made for the life · By hand

People who lived close to the land made what the life required — purpose-built, repairable, at the scale of one pair of hands rather than an industrial run. My trade-trained work in canvas and leather sits in that lineage: swags, saddlebags and tool rolls designed for the country they'll be carried through, and mended rather than replaced.
